Update your Anti-Virus / Anti-Spam software regularly - Over 600 Viruses are discovered each month, you need to check that your software is up to dated and protecting your practice.
Backup's - Backing up your files on a regular basis onto another device (other than your PC) is very important. If you get a virus that wipes out your files, at least you can restore a backup from another device (eg: zip disk).

Emails from an Unknown Source - Do not open or execute any files or attachments sent to you from an unknown source.
Friendly Source - Even if an email comes from a friend, be cautious, some viruses can replicate themselves and spread through email. Better safe than sorry, if in doubt, check that they sent it before opening any files or attachments.
Delete Spam - Spam is another word for junk-email and chain email which is unsolicited. Do not forward or reply to these, it adds to the problem create more spam.
Downloads / Downloading - Do not download any files from Web sites that are not considered to be Main stream, this type of site often contain viruses and Spyware / Malware
Pop-Ups - If an unexpected pop up appear on your screen when web browsing, close it using the "X" (cross). These often contain links to Spyware / Malware web site that monitor your web activiy and report back to its creator.
