Follett Stock Solicitors are a young and progressive firm of solicitors specialising in advising business people. From their brand new, purpose-built offices, just outside the city of Truro they combine local knowledge with London expertise and experience, concentrating on providing a bespoke and specialist commercial service to business clients.

Professional Computer Group Limited’s project remit was to replace the company’s entire ageing IT infrastructure and install a proven solution for internal operations and an allowance for remote working.

Initially the company was located in the centre of Truro and the computer room was a corridor. The two servers installed were floor mounted tower domain controller and terminal server. The file data and GroupWise migration started at close Friday, more engineers joined the team late on Sunday evening to be able to start the client PC builds first thing Monday morning. The PC rollout then commenced and was successfully completed over three days.

A few months passed and Follett Stock decided to move to their new offices. Professional Computer Group Limited assisted in the move by relocating their servers and re-connecting all of their IT equipment. A by-product of this office relocation was the installation of the domain controller and terminal server, along with vital telecoms hardware in its own server room. The servers were modified to allow them to be rack mounted, along with other associated equipment in its own dedicated comms cabinet. As to ensure no customer downtime this work was carried out again over the weekend and completed successfully.
